We haven't heard Adrian Peterson's side of the story that led to him being indicted on a child injury case and the Vikings deactivating him for Sunday's game, other than through police reports and his lawyer.
Peterson sent out a tweet at almost the exact time the Vikings were kicking off against the Patriots without him. He didn't mention his case, but instead sent out a picture of highlighted religious verses:
One can choose how to interpret that tweet, though one would assume that it has something to do with his case. He was not at the stadium for Sunday's game. Considering the date on the passage is Sept. 13, perhaps it's from a daily affirmation book. Most of the comments immediately under the tweet were not positive toward the Vikings running back (though some were).
Until we get more word from Peterson about the case (which might not come anytime soon, considering it's still an ongoing legal case), we'll see if he offers us any more clues on his Twitter feed.
